What does Edusoft need to do better or just plain good ideas?

• So I am trying to get information and I want to be able to compare teachers scores, item analysis, so that as a group we can share best practices.  However, I can only figure out that for EACH TEST I have to do an item analysis per teacher and then copy and paste individually into excel........... yuck.  I don't need how many picked A,B,C,D just a list by teacher by question the percent correct.
• Give us the ability to delineate the standards.  If I give a test on exponents and the student is missing one type of question (not everything in the standard..... which is a lot) then a remedial worksheet on concepts they know and not on the one type of question they are missing is not helpful.  If I could load my own questions into the test bank with sub-standards and/or if edusoft could recognize the problem type that they missed and could match up questions from the standard like that....... as it is it is useless since the standards are so broad for some subjects.
• It would be great if Edusoft could figure out different versions.  If you want data you would really like all the data in one place and not have to do math gymnastics to merge the data together.  Shouldn't be hard.  Make the test.  Then choose, make alternate version of the test.  Then it would ask if the questions are in the same order or if they are scrambled.  Then ask if the multiple choice is scrambled.  If the questions are in the same order it will show all of the questions with the standards already chosen and then you just have to mark each MC with the new letter choice it is.  Ie:  A B C D is now B D C A .  If the questions themselves are scrambled then just match what order the alternate version is.  This seems like it would be a lot of work, but it is LESS work than starting from scratch in edusoft.  AND edusoft could then have the information it needs to MERGE THE DATA so all results are in one place and I can get the overall percent of how many people got a question or answer choice correct.
• The vocabulary on the website is confusing.  If Edusoft wants teachers to use this and not harvard graduates the vocabulary needs to be more intutitive.  AT LEAST have it so if I hover over a button it gives me reasons to click on that button.
• The website is confusing to manuever.  Can't there  be a teacher basics page with "I want to print out scan sheets for a test I created" or "I want to print out scan sheets for a test the district created" or "I want to compare this years state test scores with last years state test scores" or whatever basic and frequently used tasks, in the order of use.  Use very clear words that say exactly what the person wants to do.  Then when they click on that sentence it does not give them directions on how to find the item, but actually takes them to the screen they were trying to find.
• If I go to Item Anaysis I can choose the SCHOOL ID when I export to excel.  This is handy for many reasons.  My favorite reason is importing the data into Access and manipulating the data how I want to manipulate it.  HOWEVER if I go to REPORT BUILDER I don't have the SCHOOL ID as an option.  I NEED THIS!
• When I run a report it shows ALL THE TEACHERS in the school.  Can there be an option to select the teachers you want to show up in the report builder that is listed by teacher, or better yet only look at teachers who are registered teachers of that course......
• When I want to make labels, most likely I will want labels for EACH of my periods.  It is hassle having to start all over again for each period in order to print labels.  Can there be a drop down option from the print labels to choose other periods?  or better yet, why can't i choose multiple periods at once?
• When you print out answer sheets it has the administering teacher on it.  Why can't when I do reports can't I have the option to only show administering teachers?!!
• 4/7Edusoft has lots of great data in it... but you can't always access the data you want or it is extremely difficult.
• I would love it if Edusoft would make a focus group of users and get their feedback on how to make the site more user friendly!  The site was clearly designed by computer people and high thinkers.... but really they need their end user in mind. 
• 4/7Stop using jargon, use titles that are meaningful to all people.  Some administrators and teachers aren't as smart as who ever designed this site, please make the site accessible to all users!
• 4/7As an administrator I have need to utilize edusoft school wide and not just by teacher, but to get a roster of students for the whole school is difficult, worse yet, I can't easily export to excel.  Making a custom group of 9th graders I was able to get the students names and edusoft ID's on several screens that I copied and pasted crudely into excel.  Unfortunately, this didn't team up the data with their student ID which is something that is necessary to be able to sort that list by a certain period of subject area.
• 4/7 EMAIL teachers their results.  Sometimes the lead teacher or other teachers scan the edusoft scans for a teacher.  Not every teacher has a prep and it is just a nice thing to do so we dont all waste our time.  How about once a day each teacher gets an email with the results of their scans and if there are any unresolved for them IF there are results.  Don't send an email to teachers who have nothing to report.  But I would really appreciate getting a daily email with the results from the scanning screen that pertain to me!
• 5/8 Please do NOT delete results.  It is fine that edusoft overwrites the scores when I scan it in, but it should ARCHIVE the previous results, just in case I messed up!  I want to be able to have the option to replace with a previous scan.  Data should NEVER be deleted!
• 5/8 Once they are scanned if a student misbubbled their name, I want to EASILY be able to assign one test to another student.
• 5/8 It is tooo easy to accidentally hand out the wrong scansheet, they all look so dang similar.  There should be an easy way to view everything I've ever scanned (or rather anything that is linked to me, sometimes other teachers scan for other teachers) and be able to have an "oops, that was wrong, delete (archieve) all of these results that meet this criteria... like delete (archieve) all Algebra 1 Unit 6 version B tests where the teacher is Mrs. Mathy on the date of 3/10/86................
